What It Costs

Choose a plan:

Mini Plan (2GB space, 45GB/mo. xfer) for $3/mo.
Hardcore Plan (10GB space, 180GB/mo. xfer, priority support) for $10/mo.

This defines the standard monthly payment, and is to be paid via PayPal "Personal Transfer". You will also pay any applicable fees (almost always <$1 per payment).

What You're Actually Getting

A customer account on my ServInt Essential VPS. The Hardcore Plan grants roughly 1/6 of the server's allowances for 1/5 of the cost, which is a great deal. The Mini Plan is about 1/4 of the Hardcore Plan.

Rules (Limitations)

You may host or do anything on my server provided it's legal. Adult content is OK as long as it's not de jure child porn. I'll overlook any pirated material unless I get a complaint from either the copyright holder or ServInt.
Tech support is very limited. I need to fit it into my schedule, which already includes full-time college, a part-time job, and other activities to keep me sane. I will try to be helpful where and when I can, but if I get too many requests, I may need to intervene. If you have "priority support", I'll generally do a lot more to help you.
Installation of server software* will be at my discretion.
*This means stuff like PHP extensions and support for other programming languages.
If something from your account (code, data, users, etc.) is negatively affecting the performance of any other account on my server, I will suspend your account. We will need to meet and determine a course of action from there.
No rollover of unused monthly transfer (bandwidth).
Obviously, you must make your monthly payments and stay within the limits as detailed in the sections below.

If at any point you break rule #1 (i.e. by doing something illegal), your account will be suspended and may be terminated depending on the crime and correctability. Along that same line, I may terminate your account at any time if I feel it is burdening me or my server.

Initial Payment

Payment for the first month will be calculated as the standard monthly payment multiplied by the remaining days in the current month* divided by the total days in the current month, and rounding up to the nearest cent. Payment must be made via PayPal to 2012 AT kalebgrace DOT com
*"Remaining days" includes the full day of when account creation happens.

Recurring Monthly Payments

The standard monthly payment is due the first day of the month for each month of service (you may also pre-pay). Payment must be made via PayPal to 2012 AT kalebgrace DOT com

Late Payments

Any due payments not recieved by 11:59PM on the 7th day of the month will result in account suspension. If this occurs, the account may be re-activated for 1.5 times the standard monthly payment for that month. Any accounts that remain suspended by the end of the month due to lack of payment will be terminated.

Disk Space & Monthly Transfer Limits (Quota & Bandwidth)

If at any point your account goes over the disk space limit, you may just run into a bunch of crazy errors, or your account may be suspended, depending on what my software decides to do. If your account is suspended, it will be re-activated when you delete enough data to get back under the quota.
If at any point your account goes over the transfer limit, it will be suspended automatically by the server software. At this point, you have two options:
1. Wait until the end of the month. It will be re-activated at the beginning of the next month.
2. Pay an additional $3 to increase the bandwidth by 45GB for that one month and re-activate the account immediately. This can stack or be pre-paid as necessary.
Note that even if your account is suspended, you're still expected to make monthly payments!

Account Termination

If your account is terminated for any reason, the following will occur:

Files and MySQL databases on the account will be backed up locally by myself.
All files, databases, and cPanel settings on the account (as well as the account itself) will be deleted from the server.
You may contact me to retrieve the backup. Be prepared with a transfer method suitable for the size of the backup.
You forfeit any money paid for the current month. Anything pre-paid for future months will be refunded.

You may contact me to re-establish an account at my discretion. Depending on the circumstances of termination, a $10 fee may apply.
